ABOUT US

About Farragut Stakeholders

The Farragut Stakeholders came together to give Farragut Housing residents a voice in the greater Brooklyn community. The drive, knowledge, commitment, and experience our members have developed from their participation in separate community organizations, will serve to make the Farragut Stakeholders effective advocates for our community in planning and decision-making by city leaders, city departments, and developers moving forward.

Over the next three years, we will be working diligently to bring new experiences to our neighbors. This website will be your source for information on all upcoming programs, events, activities and initiatives. We are committed to ensuring a thriving future for the Farragut community.

Who are the farragut stakeholders?

Latrel Mosso

My name is Latrel Mosso. I grew up in the Farragut Housing Development community and I have been an educator for over 20 years. I am thankful for the support of the stakeholders in this community, which has made me the individual I am today. I’m very involved in the community and I’m bringing back to Farragut the things I have learned throughout my journey. I have worked at the Farragut day care, interned at PS 287, I serve on the Community Board and have volunteered with many organizations including my local church and throughout Brooklyn and the city. I was tired of watching my beloved community being pushed around and that’s why I founded the Farragut Stakeholders: to be a voice for the community and in the words of the late Congressman John Lewis, “Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.

Stephanie Carroll

Stephanie Carroll has been an educator for over 20 years, and Principal of P.S.307 Daniel Hale Williams School for 9 years. She has devoted herself to ensuring that all children are nurtured in ways that they are able to tap into their ever growing and unlimited potential and purpose. Through her own experiences as a pupil, educational leader and mother, she is steadfast in her conviction that it takes a village to raise our children. She is forever grateful to be a core member of the Farragut Stakeholders, and to serve beyond the walls of 307, helping to raise future leaders and positive change makers, with love and the deepest respect for the village she serves.
